The Multiple Tiers of Instruction and Intervention is a critical component within the MTSS framework sometimes referred to as the 3-tiered model includes the use of instructional strategies, interventions and resources to meet the academic and behavioral needs of all students. This document describes the characteristics and components for each tier of instruction and intervention.
