Dr. Pam Stecker

Dr. Pamela Stecker, Professor of Special Education, has taught at Clemson University since 1996. Pam typically teaches seniors and graduate students, focusing on assessment and instructional practices in reading, writing, and mathematics, especially for students with learning disabilities.

Her research has focused largely on the use of student academic progress monitoring for improving teacher planning and student achievement and on instructional practices to support the learning of students at risk or with disabilities. She has published in a variety of research and practitioner-oriented professional journals. She serves as a consultant for the National Center on Intensive Intervention and is an advisory board member of the Academic Alliance of SC.
