Dr. Paul Riccomini is a highly respected expert in mathematics education, specializing in High Intensity Instructional Techniques (HIIT). With a mathematics degree and dual certifications in Middle and High school math and special education, Paul possesses in-depth knowledge of content matter and evidence-based instructional techniques. With an expensive background spanning 30 years, Paul has made significant contributions to mathematics and special education fields.
He is currently a professor in the College of Education at Penn State University. His research focuses on innovative teaching strategies and pedagogical approaches, for students with dyscalculia, low achievers, and/or students with learning disabilities in mathematics. He has written several research and practitioner articles on effective strategies for teaching mathematics to struggling students and has co-authored three math intervention programs targeting fractions, integers, and algebraic equations.
