Explicit Instruction Academy Session 2

The Explicit Instruction Academy is designed to build the capacity of local schools and school districts to create a team of experts in explicit instruction. Explicit instruction is a systematic, direct, and engaging set of evidence-based instructional design and delivery strategies. Many districts have teachers who are alternatively certified, international teachers, or those who may require additional support with instructional strategies. Having a team of local experts enables the district to provide “just-in-time” professional learning opportunities, thereby increasing the district’s capacity to offer high-quality professional learning for teachers using high-quality instructional materials.
